Every time you log in and click the “I Agree” consent box on the DoD Security Banner page in the DISS application, you are consenting to the terms of use of the application and agree to comply with the Privacy Act of 1974, applicable DoD regulations, other applicable laws, and DISS policies to include the forfeiture of DISS access if terms of use are violated. Misuse of DISS may result in the account being administratively locked for a specified or indeterminate length of time during administrative reviews. This slide lists some examples of DISS misuse.​

Security Policies​

Misuse of DISS — Including but not limited to:​

  • Sharing of username, password, CAC or PIV/PKI certificate and/or associated PIN numbers to access the system.​
  • Allowing non-cleared/unauthorized individuals to access the system.​
  • Allowing others to view data on the DISS screen that do not have the proper authorization.​
  • Printing or taking screenshots of DISS data.​
  • Knowingly entering false or inaccurate information into the DISS system.​
  • Taking any action on your own record.​
  • Querying the DISS application for information you have no need to know.​
  • Transferring or copying any DISS data to an outside system without prior written authorization. ​
