To continue creating the request, type required text in the Comments field. These comments should explain why the Subject should be considered for recertification; for example: “Subject was rehired by our company after an 18-month absence.” The next step is to choose the corresponding active CAF from the Select CAF menu. By default, the first item listed will be the submitting SMO, followed by the Subject’s last adjudicating CAF, then all other CAFs.

Finally, click the Create button. If your role is Industry Security Officer, the CSR will automatically route to the Industry Process Team first for their approval. For Government and Agency submitters, the CSR proceeds directly to CATS for adjudication.
